As I start this note we’re somewhere opposite Washington state. One more sea day after today and we’ll be at our first stop in Ketchikan, Alaska. We’ve gone from choppy last night to smooth as glass this morning back to choppy tonight. With that we’ve had clear sky, fog, back to cloudy, and then overcast at sunset. Temperature has been in the 60s by day. Fascinating weather outside but mostly time is spent inside.

Off on another cruise. The sailing date came on fast this time but I was ready and even downstairs waiting for the driver when he came a quarter hour early. We made excellent time down to San Pedro which, frankly, surprised us both. Dropped off luggage and then went through the processing. Princess had bumped me up to Elite status in the Captain’s Circle so I got to use all the priority lines.

We are sitting at the port outside La Paz, Mexico as I write this probably penultimate note for the blog. The port is some ten miles or so away from the city. There is a little marketplace set up by the terminal and a free shuttle ($1 tip suggested) to the city itself that runs about every 20 minutes or so.
