I’ll likely have some thoughts to post when I get back home but for now I’d just like to send out a few thank you notes…
First, to Frank who kept my plants alive, collected the mail, and generally kept a look over things for me in my absence. He also handled a matter for me last month that I could not handle due to being absent. While my planning was pretty much right on, the last minute snafu he helped resolve came to a positive conclusion.
Second, to Nancy who worked with Frank at the last minute to help resolve the issue I mentioned above.
Third, to those on the ship who took good care of me; Marte the steward and the dining room staff who made every effort to please and help when necessary. Envelopes are coming to each of you.
Finally, to UVTO staff for looking after the facility and my empty apartment to make certain nothing bad happened.
Just closed up one suitcase and have the other waiting for me to stop using the computer so it can go in first; probably early tomorrow as the bags have to be out before supper so the crew can collect them and sort them by group. I’m in purple 5 which meets at 8:30 to depart the ship.
Back later from land after some 33,000 plus nautical miles and 1.5 million tons of fuel for the ships engines. Miles and fuel well spent. 🙂
