Walking through a local store this object whispered “take my picture” to me as I passed by. Who am I to object?

2014-01-08 Pencil or Ink?
This macro is the result of an experiment. I put extension tubes onto a macro lens and shot at full extension. I actually had to take the filter off the lens to get close enough to get this picture. An LED flashlight was the illumination. It would have been better had I used a tripod but I did not have the time to set one up properly.
