At sea the day after a beautiful day in Bermuda I woke before my alarm to diffused light. The sky was grey with no way to determine the sun’s direction. The horizon was fuzzy and indistinct. The sea was rolling with whitecaps and the ship was rocking a bit side to side.
Why?
And, then it hit me. We were sailing in the Bermuda Triangle and this was perfect weather for the Triangle: nothing tangible to hang onto.
During morning trivia (we did not win) it started to rain and that enhanced the effect as you could not see clearly out of any of the windows in the deck 10 forward lounge. [Wait a minute…10 Forward…are we on the Enterprise from Star Trek Next Generation???]
All we need now is a flash of light and blue rotating tunnel for the ship to sail into and the effect will be perfect.
